The effect of using information technology on efficiency, effectiveness and group decision-making of staff (case study)

In today s world, information technology is a new strategy, which affects all aspects of the organization; such that the impression of an organization without IT and its continuous development based on the needs of the day, seems impossible. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of information technology on efficiency, effectiveness and group decision-making of Zahedan municipality employees. The research method is descriptive of survey method and statistical population includes all of Zahedan municipality employees to the number of 148 subjects. The statistical sample was calculated by Morgan table as 107 subjects who were selected by simple random sampling method. The measurement method was close researcher made questionnaire and the response was in five-point Likert range. The reliability of the questionnaire using Cornbrash s alpha coefficient was obtained as 0.88. One sample t-test was used to analyze research questions and the result showed that the use of information technology is effective on efficiency, effectiveness and organization study group decision-making.
