چکیده مقاله:
There is a great diversity of prune tree in Iran's indigenous germplasm. This study was conducted to evaluate the tree and fruit characteristics of new prune cultivars named ‘Golab’, ‘Shahriar’, and ‘Safa’, along with ‘Alborz’, ‘Malayer’, ‘Qomi’, and ‘Siah’ in Kashan, Iran, during the years ۲۰۲۱ to ۲۰۲۴. Trees were planted in a randomized complete block design with three replications and four trees in each replication. The highest trunk diameter was observed in ‘Malayer’ with an average of ۴۶.۲۹ mm and the lowest in ‘Shahriar’ and ‘Golab’. ‘Malayer’ had ۲۹.۹۵% more trunk diameter than ‘Golab’. In contrast, crown width in ‘Alborz’ showed the highest average. The lowest crown width was observed in ‘Siah’. The difference in average crown width between these two cultivars was ۳۱.۰۵ cm. The tallest tree belonged to ‘Shahriar’ and then ‘Malayer’. ‘Golab’, ‘Qomi’, and ‘Alborz’ had the lowest tree height. ‘Shahriar’ had ۲۸.۴۴% higher height than ‘Golab’. The lowest annual growth was recorded in ‘Siah’. Other cultivars did not show significant differences in the values of this trait. The range of internode length varied between ۷.۹۰ mm in ‘Malayer’ and ۱۳.۱۰ mm in ‘Qomi’. ‘Qomi’ showed the highest leaf length and width, while the lowest leaf length and width were observed in ‘Golab’. Yield efficiency in ‘Alborz’, ‘Golab’, and ‘Shahriar’ was higher than other cultivars with averages of ۳.۳۵, ۲.۷۳, and ۲.۷۱ kg/cm۲, respectively in ۲۰۲۳. ‘Malayer’ had the lowest yield efficiency and yield per tree. According to the obtained results, ‘Alborz’, ‘Shahriar’, ‘Golab’, and ‘Safa’ are recommended for cultivation in orchards and can be used as first fruit.
