چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates the interplay between positive psychology components, psychological well-being, and subjective happiness among ۳۲۰ high school students in Aran & Bidgol, Kashan, Iran. Utilizing a correlational design, we examined how traits such as optimism, resilience, self-efficacy, hopefulness, psychological flourishing, and life engagement influence happiness, with psychological well-being as a mediator. Data were collected using validated scales, including the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale, Sherer Self-Efficacy Scale, and Diener Psychological Flourishing Scale, and analyzed via stepwise regression and correlation analyses in SPSS. Results revealed significant positive correlations between all positive psychology components and both psychological well-being (r = .۵۸ to .۶۷, p < .۰۱) and subjective happiness (r = .۲۴ to .۴۳, p < .۰۱). Psychological well-being partially mediated the relationship between optimism and psychological flourishing with happiness, with notable direct (β = .۴۵, .۵۰, p < .۰۱) and indirect effects (β = .۳۰, .۳۵, p < .۰۱). No significant gender differences were observed, though slight variations in psychological flourishing emerged across academic disciplines. These findings highlight the pivotal role of psychological well-being in enhancing happiness and suggest that educational interventions fostering positive psychological traits could promote student well-being in diverse cultural contexts.
