A survey on facial landmarks detection methods based on image processing

Nowadays, the application of image processing and the use of artificial intelligence in most different fields and industries such as medicine, traffic and roads, factory production lines and etc. are developing, and instead of using human resources, various image processing methods and algorithms are used to solve Problems. This also speeds up our process and prevents human error. In this paper, the methods of facial landmarks detection are reviewed and introduced. Finally, by examining the simulation results, it can be concluded that methods based on machine learning and deep learning have higher accuracy, but for real-time processing, their speed is low and requires strong hardware
