چکیده مقاله:

Very low rainfall and subsequent periods of water shortage can have significant effects on water management issues, including river pollution, reservoir management and design, irrigation, power generation projects, drinking water supply, and so on. Drought is one of the natural disasters with negative ecological, social and economic effects and consequences, which are exacerbated by population growth and increasing water demand. Hydrological drought, which occurs after meteorological and agricultural drought, is divided into two categories: river flow drought and groundwater drought. The purpose of this study is to analyze the hydrological drought based on the Streamflow Drought Index (SDI) using DrinC software for 20 hydrometric stations within the Dez River Basin in Lorestan Province. The results of the SDI index for the study of hydrological droughts show the high efficiency of this index in determining the drought status. According to the study results, the drought -free condition for each station is equal and more than the mild drought condition. Also, the mild drought condition is almost more than the moderate drought. Severe drought condition occurred in Kakolestan-Bakhtiyari and Sakane-Qolyan, stations more than moderate drought condition. Extreme drought condition in Doroud-Tire, Chamzaman -Azna and Kamandan stations have occurred more than severe drought condition. The declining trend of discharging is more evident in Sakane -Qolyan, Chamzaman-Azna and Doroud-Tire station stations. In general, it can be concluded that the Dez River is facing a drought crisis within the basin and is a warning to water resources planners. With the occurrence of drought, environmental, economic and social problems will occur. Therefore, in order to overcome the drought crisis, creating a culture of optimal consumption, proper risk management and accurate planning of water resources and providing appropriate solutions and management policies must be adopted.
