Safflower is a native crop and well adapted to different environments of Iran. Different studies on Safflower under rain-fed condition has been showed that winter planting of safflower in semi-cold areas can be place in rotation with Wheat and Checkpea. To evaluate advance genotypes on farmer fields this study carried out with six promising genotypes of safflower along with two checks varieties (Zarghan 279 and Sina) in winter planting of two locations of Kermanshah province viz; Ravansar and Sarfirozabad in farmer fields under rainfed condition. This experiment was in RCBD with 3 replications each variety was planted in five rows with six m length and 30 cm row spacing. The results showed that 62, 47 , 411 and Local Kurdestan had the high seed yield in Sarfirozabad ( 554.4, 553.9, 541.7 and 540.6 Kg/ha respectively). Two check varieties (Zarghan 279 and Sina) had the highest oil content (27.6 and 26.7 percent, respectively) in this location. The results of Ravansar showed that 411 genotype with the highest seed yield (505 Kg/ha) was also the earliest as well as the highest seed size (seed weight) genotype. In general, 411 genotype due to high seed yield in both of locations was the superior genotype. This is spinless with red flowers genotype so, it can be recommended for handy harvesting in those areas which combine are not available. In addition, flowers can be harvested by hand. 411 genotype had big seed size which is good character for seed cleaner machines and also farmer's favorite.
