To analyze the genotype * environment interaction and determine grain yield stability and adaptability of dryland promising barley genotypes, this study was conducted during three cropping seasons (2007-2010) in 7 regions of cold dryland area (Maragheh, Sararood,Uromieh, Qamloo, Zanjan, Ardabil and Shirvan. Experiments included 10 promised barley genotypes with 2 checks (local and Abidar) and executed in RCBD with four replications. In each location simple ANOVA and combined ANOVA had implemented for three years. Because of damaging genotypes in second year in Shirvan , this station was omitted from final combined analysis. Lin and Binns parameter, coefficient of variation of grain yield and rank method were used for determination of stable genotypes. Results of combined ANOVA (3 years e6locations) showed that location, year, genotype and interaction effects of location egenotype and year e location egenotype were significant.The highest and least grain yield belonged to Sararood (2549 Kg/ha) and Zanjan(1578 Kg/ha) stations. line No.9 with 2061 Kg/ha had the highest grain yield among genotypes. Results of stability analysis with Lin and Binns, CV% and rank methods showed that line No.9 had the highest grain yield and stability comparing other genotypes. Regarding to grain yield and stability, genotype No. 9 recommended for planting under cold dryland areas.
