The biological survay on the secondal)' saxaul seed feeder moth Prorophora albidogilvella (Lep.Pyralidae),identification and its natural enemies efficiency in Yazd province The secondary saxaul seed feeder moth is considered to he one of the important pests of snxaul in Yazd province. It has been collected and reported by aUthors from Iran in 1992. This pest along \'Iith primary seed feeder moth of sa:~aul (proceratia caesariello.) reduce the growing potential of seed and cause some difficultb in production of saxaul seedlings. Base on this study the adult of tltis insect app<::ars in the last week of december. After one week it mates and after then d..ys luying eggs on seed. Peak of flight in Yazd saxauI environmentS wus observed between 11-13 October and the last night in 6-11 Noveber. This insect hibernated in larval stage on saxaul or in Ihe soil. pupation was occured in 11 septcrn.lH.:r in,t';oil depth of J5-20 cm.This insect Produces one generation per year 111 Yazd province .Under laboratory conditions of (24:t:2'c and 36%:t3RH) ,eggs incubati.)n period, larval period (in four instars ) along with diapaus and pupal period !;::ted 7-10 . 340-350 and 15-20 days respectively.During the project exccutiO'l .) spdes wasp from Bracomdae family (Dolichogenidea appellator), two wasp sannles from Ichneumonidae family ,one was ChaJcididae and tWo samples of tly L"11\ BOInbyliidae family , were formed as larva and pupa parasite amongtJ:,: wllected samples. In field survers a kind of predator beelte larva and pupa frnm carabeidae family has been collected from the underground.Also,the ladybird' of Coccinella.undecimpwlCtata and c.'eptempunctata were preYing .;: : pest pupa. According to surveys this insect has been found in Kashan , sab,wh\ar, Kerman and Isfahan.
