چکیده طرح پژوهشی:

Implementation of this project started in 2010 for the determination of adaptability of poplar clones in the Chamestan of Mazandaran province. For this purpose, the 28 superior Poplar cloneswere selectedfrom Chamestan experimental nurseries.15 open crown clones planted in 4*4 meter spacing and 12 closed crown clones planted in 3*3 meter spacing at two separate experiment unit in Camestan Research Station. From each clone, 75 seedlings were planted according to randomize complete block design at 3 replication. At the end of the project, diameter and height of trees have been measured. After, mean of diameter, height and volume were analyzed by SPSS software. Meanwhile was studied the number of morphological attribute such as crown diameter, stem divided and trunk quality (curve condition of main stem). Results of analyses of variance showed that in this phase of the project, were significant differences between the mean values among the open crown clones In terms of survival, the mean diameter and wood production per hectare with each other at 1% and crown diameter at 5%. In the closed crown clones In terms ofsurvival percentage, height and diameter growth, crown height, susceptibility to pests and diseases, there are significant differences at 1% level and in terms of trunk quality and production volume in hectare at 5% level. The clones P.d.63/10, P.d.67/51, P.d.77/51,P.eura.488,P.eura.blance, P.eura.455, P.interamericanaand P.eura.pacher were the best. In the among of closed crown clones P.n.63/135,P.n.62/149 و P.n.62/127ofSurvival,diameter growth, height, volumeandquality characteristicshave beenbetter. And onthe other hand, P.n.42/154 و P.n.56/72, P.n. 62/54 and P.trichocarpa have shownpoor results.Since the results of the implementation of project related to the first period (1389-1393, Thereforewere not enoughthistimeto determine thefinaladaptability of clones and the final judgment will need to continue the project in other periods.Key words: Chamestan, Final adaptiability, Poplar clones, , Quantity characteristics
