چکیده مقاله:

Mienerita debilis, a gastropod from Neritidae is distributed in the coastal intertidal shorelines along the northern Indian Ocean. And there is no previous confirmed reportof its distribution in the Oman Sea. Specimens collected by field survey along Daryabozorg beach in Chabahar city on February 2018. Twenty specimens carried to the lab for biometry and sequencing of the complete Co1 gene (625 bp). Because M. debilis is the only species of genus Mienerita, considerable genetic distance appeared in comparison with previously reported species from genus Nerita in the area. In addition, some morphological characters like lack of teeth on either the outer lip or the columella, presence of a vestigial peg on the operculum and numerous thin spiral cords separated by shallow interstices, confirmed molecular identification. This study is first documented report for identification of M. debilis from the Iranian coast of Oman Sea and could be useful in our knowledge about the biodiversity of Gastropods in this area.
