چکیده مقاله:

Non-thermal plasma (NTP) discharge has been introduced as a promising method for NOx removal from the simulated gases as well as diesel engine exhaust. In the NTP reactor, the NOx concentration is reduced by a set of reactions which is occurred when the gas is exposed to a high voltage electrical field and goes to the plasma state. The aim of this paper is to study the employing of Non-thermal plasma on the NOx removal from the simulated gas. Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor is used here as one the best NTP reactors for decomposition of the NOx. The pulse high voltage generator is used for developing the electrical field in order to decrease the consumption of energy rather than AC high voltage generator. The capability of this system on NOx removal is first investigated and then the effect of voltage and frequency of the pulse generator is studied in this paper.
