One of the goals of nursing is, help to people that with the existing and potential problems are compatible that it, provide with palliative care. Palliative care, globally known as one of the six principles for cancer control, plays an important role in the management of cancer-inducedcomplications and it’s primary goal is to improve the quality of life of patients. This paper aims to address the effects of palliative care on the compatibility of women with breast cancer. Materials and Methods: We performed a comprehensive review of literature in the internet using the following keywords: palliative care, compatibility, women and breast cancer in Persian and English (2005- 2015) in reliable journals available in Iranian and international databases including PubMed, Science Direct, Medline, Magiran and Sid Findings: The literature review showed that palliative care is a very strong feature against life-threatening factors, enhances the quality of life in women with breast cancer, reduces mental stress and increases distress tolerance. Conclusion: The palliative care must be considered in nursing care of women with breast cancerconsidering the impact of it in coping with this disease. These patients have low levels of tolerance and patience which consequently reduce their capabilities in facing and coping with the disease so they have negative reaction toward different issues. Therefore, palliative care can be very helpful and relax the patient and reduce their stress. Therefore, the use of palliative care by nurses is necessary to implement a comprehensive nursing care during treatment.
