چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. According to the World Health Organization s America more than 1/6 million new cases of breast cancer is detected. This figure is equivalent to 10% of all new cancer cases. In Iran, 23 percent of all cancers in women is breast cancer. Despite the progress made, cancer associated with symptoms. The main sign is pain.There are pharmacological and nonpharmacological methods in pain management. One non-pharmacological method is palliative care.Method: In this review article, studies conducted in 1980 and 2016 in the from internal and external databases were investigated. According to relevant criteria of 70 articles, 20 articles were selected. Result: Pain is the main symptom of breast cancer. Thus, pain management is the most important task for nurses. Palliative care is used as a palliative procedure. Its purpose is to improving the quality of life the patient, the patient and family support and pain management.Conclusion: Palliative care is an effective way for pain management in patients with cancer. Offer the nurses in ward oncology for pain management use supportive and palliative care
