چکیده مقاله:
Cellulose is the most abundant renewable, and sustainable biopolymer in nature which can extracted from different original sources such as tunicate, cotton, wood pulp, ramine, algal and bacterial celluloseby chemical, physical, enzymatic processes, or a combination of them. Cellulose and its derivatives offered a substantial opportunity for multiple uses in pharmaceutical industry as a tablet binder, in foodapplications as a texturizing agent and fat replacer, and also, as medical materials in biomedical. physicochemical properties of Cellulose nanocrystals, such as size, agglomeration status in liquid, andsurface charge, play important roles in the ultimate interactions of the nanoparticle with target cells.Cellulose nanocrystals have attractive properties as nanoscale carriers for bioactive molecules inbiomedical applications. These nanoparticles can be also used as a building block for robust, porous electrodes and sensors in diagnostic and treatment of cancers. The lack of toxicity and untargeteduptake support the potential of cellulose nanocrystals as carriers in targeted drug delivery applications. Therefore, Functionalization of CNCs enhances the use of them as a vector in targeted drug delivery, and also trigger greater application for the use of CNCs in medical imaging to locate tumors or bacterial cells.
