Design of Model Predictive controller for Network Control System Subjected to Time delay

This paper investigates the problem of Network Control System(NCS) in the face of model uncertainties and data networked induced delay for the purpose of NCS performance improvement. For this purpose, a new MPC structure is presented. The proposed MPC is developed to tackle the inherent uncertainties occurring due to time delay. By using Model predictive control theory, it has been shown how closed loop stability can be ensured directly in the design. The couple of tank system has been utilized as a benchmark case study to study and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
