Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence

The turbulence experienced by contemporary organizations may often be identifiedwith transition into what Drucker identified as ‘the global knowledge society’. Withinthis context organizations strive to improve their competitive position through better useof knowledge, searching for new ways to harness the expertise and intellectual resourcesthat they already possess while aiming to continuously leverage them into new appliedknowledge. The paper evaluates the phenomenon of knowledge management (KM) andits relationship to the artificial intelligence (AI) technologies of knowledge-basedsystems.
