چکیده مقاله:

The effects of plant growth regulators and type of explants on callus production and plant regeneration of two cultivars of Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. (Isfahani and Shirazy) were studied. Seeds were germinated on water agar medium, then transferred on MS medium. After 10 days (for cotyledon and hypocotyl) and 30 days (for leaf and stem) explants were cultured on different combination of medium supplemented with different hormones. After 45-60 days callus production and plant regeneration were evaluated. Kinetin in compare with BA showed callus induction and plant regeneration. However, medium with combination of Kin (2.5 mg/L), and NAA (1 mg/L) were the best medium for callus induction but for plant regeneration combination of Kin and IBA showed better results. Etynil estradiol (1mg/L) did not show significant effect on callus production and plant regeneration. For callus production stem was the best explant in both cultivars. Finally, two cultivars showed differences on callus production and plant regeneration from various explants
