چکیده مقاله:

Based on the experiences of the author and his colleagues as EFL teachers, the politeness of the students in Iranian context in English language classes was studied in different cities with a variety of cultures and social levels. Nowadays, a large number of learners are noticed as showing impolite behavior in the classroom, more specifically male ones. Teachers frequently complain that it has been demanding to manage these classes and execute disciplinary measures. Humanistic Approach, student-centered approach, is a horizon which focuses on improving teaching/learning process. Unfortunately, in Iran, Humanistic Approach paves the way for the impolite learners to put the weak skeleton of teacher’s position aside. Although teachers often advise, scold and punish these students, issue warnings, or refer them to the office concerned, the ‘impoliteness’ continues and teachers become more frustrated.
