The Basiran exploration district represents a significant target for porphyry-epithermal Cu-Au mineral systems within the Central Iran metallogenic province. Lithostratigraphic analysis reveals that the area is dominated by Paleogene high-K calc-alkaline volcanic strata, including pyroxene andesite and altered andesite-basalts, which are intruded by post-Eocene subvolcanic dioritic stocks. Hydrothermal alteration mapping identifies a systematic zoning pattern, transitioning from distal propylitic facies to proximal phyllic assemblages, all capped by an extensive advanced argillic-silicified blanket. Structural architecture analysis indicates that polymetallic mineralization (Cu-Au-Pb-Zn) is strictly governed by dilational jogs and extensional step-overs generated by conjugate strike-slip fault intersections. The genetic link between subvolcanic magmatism, structural permeability, and core alteration zoning confirms a high potential for hosting blind porphyry targets beneath the exposed epithermal environment. By integrating multi-scale geological and structural datasets, this study establishes the Basiran district as a primary candidate for deep-seated exploration. Furthermore, the proposed genetic model provides a robust framework for vectoring toward high-grade mineralization zones in similar tectonic settings throughout the eastern Lut Block, offering critical insights for future industrial mineral exploration programs in this fertile metallogenic belt.
