چکیده مقاله:

Background: Flexible flat foot is a common postural disorder among overweight adolescents, often associated with intrinsic muscle weakness and poor core stability. Case Presentation: A ۱۴ year old male with mild obesity and flexible flat feet underwent an eight week, two phase corrective stabilization program consisting of intrinsic foot muscle strengthening and dynamic balance training (three sessions per week). Results: Following the intervention, fat mass decreased from ۲۲.۹ kg to ۲۱.۳ kg (–۷%), while fat free mass increased by ۱.۶ kg. The waist to hip ratio improved from ۰.۹۷ to ۰.۹۰. Right foot contact area rose from ۵۱.۲ cm² to ۸۶.۰ cm² (+۶۸%), heel pressure distribution normalized (۲۲.۹ → ۱۸.۲%), and the medial arch height improved from “flat” to “mild flat.” Conclusion: A structured, progressive corrective exercise program can effectively enhance foot biomechanics and body composition in obese adolescents, even without weight loss.
