چکیده مقاله:
Background The level of inactivity among adolescents has increased in the past few decades due to the industrialization of societies, lifestyle changes, the rapid growth of communication technologies, the attractiveness and increase of television programs, and the excessive use of computer games (۱-۳). Today, there is a lack of physical activity in children and adolescents (۴). A majority of adolescents between the ages of ۱۱ and ۱۷ years, approximately ۸۰%, are insufficiently active physically, as per the report published by the World Health Organization (WHO) (۵). Most related research has suggested that the physical activity levels among adolescents fall below the recommended benchmark set by WHO, which is about one hour of moderate-intensity physical activity per day (۵). Engagement in physical activities during childhood is significant in fostering better health outcomes during adulthood (۶). Being physically inactive can reduce muscle strength, which is associated with various movement disorders and abnormalities of the skeletal muscles, particularly in adolescent females (۷, ۸).
