چکیده مقاله:

Worship spaces in various religions, particularly in Hinduism and Islam, play a key role in the spiritual experience and the connection between humans and the divine realm. These spaces, as sacred environments, create a bond between humans and God, which is manifested in the religious architecture of these religions in unique and distinct ways. This paper aims to analyze and compare the architecture of Islamic mosques and Hindu temples to explore the influence of religious and philosophical teachings of these two religions on the design of worship spaces. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the aesthetic features of these spaces and examine the cultural and psychological effects of architectural space on the religious experience of the faithful. The research method used in this study is a comparative analysis, in which architectural characteristics, geometry, and spiritual space in mosques and Hindu temples are compared. This comparison leads to a better understanding of the role of architectural space in the spiritual, emotional, and psychological experiences of worshippers in each of these places. The findings of the research indicate that the architecture of each of these religious spaces is specifically influenced by their respective religious and philosophical teachings. For instance, in Islamic mosque architecture, geometry and forms originate from Islamic worldviews and religious concepts such as "qadar" (divine will), while Hindu temples use sacred geometry and mandalas as representations of the cosmos and the relationship between humans and God. This study is significant in understanding the impact of religious architecture on the spiritual and cultural experiences of different communities and may contribute to a reevaluation of the design of religious spaces and contemporary architecture. Ultimately, the results of this research could serve as a basis for further studies in the field of religious architecture and intercultural aesthetics.
