چکیده مقاله:

Given the rapid expansion of cities and population growth, the construction of buildings has significantly increased. As nearly ۶۰% of global energy consumption is attributed to the building industry, implementing strategies to reduce energy consumption in this sector can have a significant impact on global energy savings. Among various types of buildings, hotels typically have high energy consumption due to the need to create a comfortable environment for guests. The objective of this paper is to design a hotel with low energy consumption using passive methods in the areas of lighting, heating, cooling, and overall primary energy reduction. This study specifically focuses on the design of a hotel in Shahrkord, a city with a cold and mountainous climate. To evaluate energy consumption, the DesignBuilder energy simulation software was used to calculate the building's energy load under various models. In this study, factors such as building form, orientation, percentage of openings, and shading depth were compared, and the most optimal option suitable for the cold, mountainous climate was selected.
