چکیده مقاله:
Migraine is a common and debilitating neurological disorder often accompanied by severe pain and psychological disturbances. Research suggests that emotion regulation plays a key role in the intensity and recurrence of migraine attacks. Despite growing interest in psychological interventions for migraine, the specific role of mindfulness training in enhancing emotion regulation strategies among migraine patients remains underexplored. This study aimed to examine the effect of mindfulness training on emotion regulation strategies in individuals with migraine. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was used with ۶۰ participants diagnosed with migraine. The intervention group participated in an ۸-week mindfulness-based program, while the control group received standard care. Standardized questionnaires were used to assess outcomes. The mindfulness group showed a significant increase in the use of cognitive reappraisal and a decrease in emotional suppression (p < .۰۰۱). Scores on migraine-related disability (MIDAS) and mindful awareness (MAAS) also improved significantly post-intervention. Mindfulness training can enhance emotional regulation and reduce functional impairment in migraine patients. These findings support the integration of mindfulness-based interventions into migraine treatment protocols, emphasizing the value of psychological strategies in comprehensive migraine management.
