چکیده مقاله:

The reputation of universities is increasingly vulnerable to crises, which can significantly damage their brand and operational stability. This study explores the critical factors that influence the occurrence of crises in university brands and examines effective strategies for crisis management. Utilizing a comprehensive literature review methodology, this research synthesizes findings from recent studies to identify the internal and external factors contributing to brand crises in higher education institutions. The analysis reveals that inadequate crisis preparedness, leadership deficiencies, and cultural issues within universities are major internal drivers of crises, while external threats, such as societal pressures and stakeholder mismanagement, further exacerbate these challenges. The study also highlights the importance of proactive crisis management strategies, including robust communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and resource availability. Successful crisis management is heavily dependent on effective leadership, transparent communication, and the strategic use of available resources. The findings suggest that universities need to integrate crisis management into their broader strategic planning to enhance resilience and protect their brand reputation. This research contributes valuable insights to the field of crisis management in higher education, offering practical recommendations for universities to better prepare for and respond to crises, ultimately ensuring their long-term sustainability.
