چکیده مقاله:

The COVID-۱۹ pandemic has imposed significant challenges on hospitals and healthcare facilities, encompassing resource shortages, scarcity of protective equipment, virus transmission, heightened workloads, and medical waste management. This article employs a comparative analysis approach to examine the role of artificial intelligence in mitigating these challenges at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran and various international medical centers. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence has effectively contributed to the enhancement of health, safety, and environment (HSE) management through demand forecasting, resource optimization, and workload reduction. At Imam Khomeini Hospital, the application of artificial intelligence algorithms for the rapid triage of patients, management of protective equipment, and monitoring of environmental safety has notably diminished occupational risks and augmented productivity. These findings are further substantiated by a comparison with the experiences of leading international centers, including hospitals in China, the United States, and the United Kingdom, where similar technologies have produced successful outcomes in performance optimization and challenge reduction during the pandemic. The results of this comparative analysis demonstrate that the deployment of artificial intelligence technology as a strategic tool can enhance HSE performance in hospitals and effectively address future crises.
