چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer (BRCA) remains a major source of illness and mortality among women globally, despite breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) are transcripts longer than ۲۰۰ nucleotides that do not encode proteins, yet they are involved in numerous cellular processes, including chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and post-transcriptional modification. The dysregulation of LncRNAs has been increasingly recognized as a critical factor in cancer development, progression, and metastasis, particularly in breast cancer. Additionally, LncRNAs interact with various molecular networks, including microRNAs and proteins, to regulate gene expression and influence breast cancer behavior. Their highly tissue-specific expression and involvement in multiple cancer pathways make LncRNAs promising biomarkers for early diagnosis, prognosis, and potential therapeutic targets. Accumulating evidence suggests that Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA ۱۱۱۷ (LINC۰۱۱۱۷) is deregulated in human cancers, particularly in breast cancer. In this study, the aim was to review all the published data on LINC۰۱۱۱۷ from diverse sources with a focus on the molecular mechanisms underlying its involvement in cancer development and pathogenesis. Moreover, the expression patterns and the diagnostic and therapeutic importance of LINC۰۱۱۱۷ LncRNA as a potential biomarker in different human malignancies were reviewed. Material and methods: A thorough search for literature was carried out utilizing a number of internet databases, such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The following search phrases were used: " LINC۰۱۱۱۷", " ENSG۰۰۰۰۰۲۲۴۵۷۷", "tumorigenesis", "metastasis", "cancer", and "Cell Cycle". Boolean operators ("AND", "OR") were utilized to enhance the search outcomes. Results: The data indicate that dysregulation of LINC۰۱۱۱۷ expression affects the overall disease-free, and progression-free-survival in various cancers. High LINC۰۱۱۱۷ expression levels mediate a series of biological functions, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, metastasis, invasion, cell cycle arrest, inflammation, and even osteogenic differentiation. This identifies that LINC۰۱۱۱۷ functions as a potential oncogene. Moreover, in this review, the main functions and underlying mechanisms of LINC۰۱۱۱۷ in different cancers will be discussed. Conclusion: This study for the first time highlighted the prognostic significance and the oncogenic influence of LINC۰۱۱۱۷ LncRNA across diverse tumor types, providing a comprehensive understanding of its multifaceted role in the field of oncology.
