چکیده مقاله:

: Background: Cancer is one of the major global health challenges, significantly impacting individuals' quality of life. esophageal cancer is recognized as one of the rarest and most dangerous cancers, with both environmental and genetic factors have significant roles in its development. The incidence of this cancer has increased in recent years and making it as the sixth leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs)are known as key molecules in regulating biological processes, and their dysregulation of expression has been associated with various diseases, including cancer. microRNAs, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs) are the three main categories of ncRNAs in wich lncRNAs can regulate gene expression and cellular processes, with lengths exceeding ۲۰۰ nucleotides. lncRNAs have key regulator role in the esophageal cancer tumorigenesis stages. This study focuses on the lncRNA MALAT۱ role in esophageal cancer. The findings show that MALAT۱ is significantly overexpressed in cancerous tissues and is associated with clinicopathological features such as tumor size and disease stages. This RNA can potentially be used as a biomarker for esophageal cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Studies have shown that MALAT۱ influences processes such as angiogenesis, apoptosis, and the regulation of molecular interactions. lncRNAs can act as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) and MALAT۱ can impact on the biological activities of cancer cells. our results showed the important role of lncRNAs, especially MALAT۱ in cancer research. Overall, this research may contribute to the development of new therapeutic approaches and the identification of effective biomarkers for esophageal cancer. Method: In this study, using advance search for the: esophageal cancer, lncRNA, and MALAT۱ terms in reputable scientific databases, a total of ۳۶ articles were reviewed. Findings and Conclusion: The findings indicate that lncRNAs like the MALAT۱, play a significant role in esophageal cancer. Recommendations:۱. Further Studies: Pursue detailed studies to identify the molecular mechanisms of MALAT۱ in gene regulation and signaling pathways. ۲. Development of Biological Tests: Design assays to measure the expression levels of MALAT۱ in biological samples (such as blood and tissue). ۳. Therapeutic Research: Investigate therapeutic methods based on the inhibition or activation of MALAT۱ using small RNAs like siRNA or miRNA. ۴. Education and Promotion: Educate physicians and researchers about the potential of lncRNAs as therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
