Background and aims: As an expanding virtual reality, the metaverse is creating tremendouschanges in all social structures. On the one hand, it has provided unprecedented challenges foruniversities and higher education, and on the other hand, it has presented unique opportunities fortheir growth and excellence. The degree of success in facing the challenges and making maximumuse of the available capabilities depends on the way higher education managers face and interactwith this virtual reality.Although the future of Metaverse is still unclear for everyone, many prestigious universities andeducational centers are trying not to miss the Metaverse train. They combine face-to-face andremote video training with technologies such as interactive virtual world gaming, virtual reality,and mixed reality. On the other hand, one of the new methods of treating schizophrenic patientsis avatar therapy, the feature of this treatment method is the use of a person’s face and adapting itand producing a voice to create a sense of hope and increase self-confidence for the patient.Artificial intelligence technology in Metaverse enables you to overcome obstacles such as poorinteractive quality and provide new services such as live virtual conferences.Method: a ۳ round delphi study is done to earn desired consensus.Results: ۲۳ indices ۱۳ pros and ۱۰ cons were gathered in case of AI apportunities in metaversebased avatar treatmentConclusion: In the near future, with the construction of a ۳D avatar computer, doctors will beable to test different treatment methods on a ۳D model of the patient’s body and then prescribethe best treatment for the person. The project of designing and building a ۳D computer avatar issimilar to Google Earth maps, which can provide doctors with an accurate map of the patient’sphysical condition and health. Professor “Alejandro Farangi”, a researcher at the University ofSheffield, emphasizes: There is a lot of information about the medical history of people in differentmedical centers, and in emergency situations, the presence of this data can help the doctorto choose the appropriate treatment method or not to use a specific treatment. It seems that theadvantages of this method outweigh the disadvantages.
