چکیده مقاله:

Abstract Introduction: Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine. Conservative treatment for scoliosis is primarily performed for youth, but scoliosis can be deteriorating as the patient ages. Rare, severe scoliosis with a Cobb angle over ۴۰ degrees with respiratory difficulties leaves open surgery as the only option. However, surgical treatments often suffer from various complications. As per ۲۰۱۶ guidelines for the management of idiopathic scoliosis by the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Treatment, the goal of conservative treatment is to correct and maintain curve growth during puberty. Bracing is advised for patients with growth curves greater than ۲۰°±۵° Cobb angle and should be worn until the spinal bone development has reached maturity. The aim of this study was to design a new automatic thoracolumbar scoliosis bracing to improve scoliosis. Methods: The designed brace made by different sensors that could measure the scoliosis curvature angles during both static and dynamic daily activities. The weight of this brace is very low. Moreover, the software of this brace could inform the individuals about the scoliosis curvature angles during all times. The software of this brace could be installed on your mobile system. Therefore, the individuals could observe the status of their vertebral angles on their mobiles. Results: By using of a new scoliosis thoracolumbar brace the individuals could be informed from their vertebral column curvature angles during their daily activities. The bracing software inform the individuals by their mobiles when the vertebral column curvature be excessive. When the subjects correct their angles, the software will be stopped the alarming process.
