چکیده مقاله:

As water resources around the world become under increasing pressure, allocating water between abstractors and the environment needs to be based progressively more on sound science. In recent years, many hydrology-based approaches have been used to assess the environmental flows in various river systems over the globe. In this study, the potential environmental flows in Millhaven Creek in Canada were investigated using two desktop hydrological methods FDC shifting, Desktop Reserve Model(DRM). Results were compared with the Tennant, Tessman and the FDC methods. The results indicatedthat the minimum, medium, and high levels of the environmental flow requirements amounted to 0.29 (FDC shifting- Class A), 0.67 (DRM Class B) and 1.49 (DRM Class C) m3/s, respectively, and these flows are equivalent to 78%, 33%, and 14% of MAR. None of the examined methods appear to be definitively the answer for EFR in the Millhaven Creek
