Designing structural equation models of personality types with quality of life in involuntary unemployed ۲۵-۳۵ years old youth

The present study aimed to design a structural equations model between personality types and the quality of life of unemployed young people aged ۲۵-۳۵. It is a descriptive-correlative research that is applied considering the nature and aim; hence the revised N.E.O. Personality Inventory (NEO PI-R) and WHOQOL-BRIEF quality of life questionnaires were used. The statistical population consisted of unemployed youth aged ۲۵-۳۵ years in Khorramabad city, of which ۱۵۰ unemployed youths in Khorramabad city were randomly selected. SPSS-۲۲ and AMOS version ۲۰ software were used to analyze the research data. Pearson correlation coefficient and structural model modeling were used to test the research hypotheses. Findings showed a positive and significant relationship between extraversion, openness to experience, agreement, and conscientiousness with quality of life. There is a significant negative relationship between neuroticism and quality of life; the higher the level of neuroticism, the lower the quality of life. According to Mel, structural equations of personality types explain ۵۵% of the quality of life of involuntarily unemployed youth. Therefore, according to the results of the present study, it is suggested that to improve these people's quality of life and better mental and physical health, personality types should be given special attention.
