چکیده مقاله:

Background: Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer in women within the world. According to estimate of American Cancer Society approximately ۲۴۶,۶۶۰ invasive BC will be diagnosed and ۴۰,۸۹۰ deaths occurred in ۲۰۱۶. One of aggressive type of BC is Triple-Negative Breast cancer (TNBC) that defined as without estrogen, progesterone receptors, and Human epidermal growth factor (HER۲). This study was performed to determine the histopathological and clinical characteristics of TNBC patients in hospitals in Tehran. Methods: In this cross-sectional study was performed in ۵ educational and private hospitals in Tehran since ۲۰۱۵ to ۲۰۱۸. This study conducted ۱۰۰ consecutive TNBC patients that were collected from their medical records. The technique that used for determination of mentioned receptors was Immunohistochemistry staining. For data analysis was used SPSS ۱۶ with Fisher and Chi-square tests. P-value≤۰.۰۵ was considered statistically significant. Results: The mean age of patients was ۴۹.۷ (±۱۲.۲) years. ۷۸ (۸۱.۳%) of patients were Invasive Ductal Carcinoma type with negative metastasis. There was significant relationship between Family History (p=۰.۰۰۱) and Lymphatic Involvement (p<۰.۰۰۱) with Metastasis. Negative Metastatic Lymphatic Involvement (۴۴-۹۵.۷%) was more than positive one (۱۶-۲۹.۶%). The number of patients with stage IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and IIIC were ۳۲, ۱۴, ۱۲, ۱, and ۳ that were negative in metastasis respectively. Hence, the patients within type IV were ۱۸ with positive metastasis. The number of patients with Grade II and III were ۵۳ and ۴۷, respectively Conclusions: In this study revealed characteristics involved age, family history, types, stage, and grade of tumor. Negative family history was significantly more than positive one (P=۰.۰۰۱). About stages, IIA and IIIB were significantly more and less than other stages (P˂۰.۰۰۱), respectively.
