Investigating the application of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system in increasing the speed and improving nursing services to patients

Efforts to improve health services have long been inevitable and the results of technological advances in various sectors of the industry, mainly in this field (Radio FrequencyIdentification) RFID or radio wave detection tool RFID. It is a small electronic device and is one of the new and successful technologies in automatic identification today. The purpose of this study is to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of using this system in hospitals. Methods: This search was conducted in the databases of Iran Medex, Magiran, PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, sid, and Alamnet with the keywords: RFID, HIT, in the period 2014 to 2020. Articles related to the study by inclusion criteria The simultaneous existence of both variables RFID and HIT in the summary of studies from 2014 to 2020 and the lack of access to the full text of the articles and the lack of further research) was investigated by three independent researchers. Results: Out of 35 articles, 27 articles were selected after quality evaluation and used in this study.Many benefits such as fast data recovery, reducing workload, increasing services while reducing costs, reducing potential errors, preventing the detection of pharmacological and non-pharmacological errors, increasing the level of patient care with satisfaction, facilitating the identification and review of samples, and has test results that can increase the quality of services. Conclusion: In order to implement new technologies, many issues should be considered and examined, including the scientific and cultural context of the area and the ability of the hospital, such as support by hospital databases and staff to learn how to use this device and therefore should not be Suddenly, the use of this system became common because they need training in the beginning. Doctors and nurses can use this technology to provide the highest speed and the least mistakes in providing services.
