Relationship between mental health and emotional reflection of nurses working in educational-medical centers of Mazandaran province

Background and purpose: A significant index in mental health is the quality of emotional reflection that a person shows to mental pressures. The purpose of this paper is the examination of the relationship between mental health and emotional reflection of nurses working in educational-medical centers of Mazandaran province.Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was performed on 304 nurses in educational and medical centers of Mazandaran province in 2017, whit using GHQ-28 questionnaires and depression, anxiety, stress DASS-21. The data was analyzed through the 21 version of the SPSS software, the statistic-descriptive methods, and the non-parametric test of "Kolmogrov-Smirnov" and Pierson correlation coefficient.Results: there is a significant relationship between the variable of mental health and dimensions stress, depression and anxiety of nurses (p<0.001) and the direction of this relationship is reverse. The average mental health of nurses in psychiatry center is (1.70±0.38) and in pediatrics, general and cardiovascular are 01.85±0.47, 01.86±0.47 and 1.94±0.51 respectively.Conclusion: The results showed that with the increase of depression, anxiety and stress level of mental health decreases and. Considering the importance of the role of nurses in treating patients and the quality of that treatment, adopting management measures to examine and control effective factors seems essential
