چکیده مقاله:

Background and Objectives:Avian Influenza (AI) Has Emerged As A Disease With Significant Potential To Disrupt Commercial Poultry Production Often Resulting In Extensive Losses (1). Influenza Is Caused By A Zoonotic Virus That Occurs In Lower Animals And Birds As Well As In Humans.Material And Methods: Detection Of Antibodies To Influenza Disease Virus In 250 Blood Samples From Local Chickens In About 10 Villages In Qom Province Was Carried Out Using The Haemagglutination Inhibition Test (HI). This Was Done To Determine The Immune Status Of Local Birds To Aviate Different Villages. Results And Conclusion: 13 (5.2%) Birds Tested Positive With Antibody Titer Ranging From 2 To 5.The Geometric Mean Titer Was 0.8 . This Low Antibody Titer Reveals The Epizootic Nature Of The Virus,In The Study Area And Is Suggestive Of An Inter-Epidemic Phase Or Early Phase Of Infection Pointing AFinger To Possible Economic Losses In The Event Of An Outbreak, Alongside The Role Of Local ChickensIn The Transmission Cycle Of Influenza Disease To Other Avian Species. Vaccination Of LocalChickens Were Possible Is Advocated For.
