The Effect of Using Email on English Vocabulary Learning

The present study is an attempt to investigate the effect of utilizing email on English vocabulary learning. To conduct the research two groups, each one consisted of 20 female students were selected and treated as the experimental and control groups. Then, a vocabulary pre-test was administered to the two sample groups. The participants in the experimental group received four vocabulary lessons via email and the subjects in control group received the same lessons via printed papers.At the end of the treatment, the vocabulary test previously used as pre-test was again administered to the two groups as post-test. Performing a t-test for the mean score of two groups on the post-test showed that using email has a positive effect on development of vocabulary learning
