چکیده مقاله:

Introduction & Aim: Spirituality is a key important factor that can be affect the health checkup belief and breast cancer screening practice of women in different cultures .The objective of this study is assess the Effect of spiritually on breast cancer screening practice of women in Tehran in 2017.Methods: In this cross-sectional study 325 women who referred to health centers of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran in 2017 were participated. The participants who had inclusion criteria selected by convenience sampling method .Data were collected through a demographic, breast cancer screening practice information and spirituality questionnaire. SPSS version 17 were used for data analyze. Results: The result of this study showed that the age ranges of participant were 18-75 years. One third of them were diploma and more than 75% of them were housewife. In this study spirituality belief have significant relationship with breast self-examination practice (p=0.04) but there is not any relationship between spirituality and clinical breast examination (p> 0.05).Conclusion: The spirituality of women can affect the breast self-examination of women. So it is necessary that policy makers consider the spirituality of women in cancer screening practice.
