چکیده مقاله:
Introduction & Aim: Mammography is the most accurate way to detect breast cancer at early stage of breast cancer.women always face with obstacles that inhibit them from adopting mammography behavior.This study aimed to survey the perceived barriers for mammography and related factors, among health volunteers of urban women health centers in Isfahan. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive analytical study were done in Isfahan. A total of 160 health volunteer women participated in present study with informed consent using convenience sampling. In order to assess the participants perceived barriers the valid and reliable Champion’s questionnaire was used.Participation in the study was voluntary and with informed consent. Data was analysed with using SPSS20 software and descriptive and analytical statistics. Results: The mean age of participants were 96.7 ±6/46 years. The findings of this study showed that the barriers to breast mammography, fear of mammography with mean score of 41/3 was the main obstacle and obstacle such as lack of knowledge of how to do it and feel painful faced with problems during mammography, Forget mammography time, feel old age and time consuming was in another ranking. Also in this study between demographic variables and barriers to mammography behavior wasn’t a significant relationship. Conclusion: Women faced with different obstacles for mammography that appropriate and specific interventions should be designed and implemented for any of the obstacles
