Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Mammography is the best method to early detection of breast cancer. Today, the Multimedia has a special place in the field of health education. This study aimed to determine the effect of Multimedia education based on Health Belief Model on teachers Mammography performance in Bushehr. Methods: The current study was a Randomized controlled clinical trial that was administered at 120 Elementary schools teachers over 40 years old in 2015. Participants were divided through Random allocation to two groups that were multimedia education and control group. Multimedia group received CD, booklets and educational SMS based on health belief model for use at home. The people was completed the Champion questionnaire three times. Data analyzed by SPSS software using chi-square tests, t-test and ANOVA repetitive data were analyzed. Results: Comparison of two groups during the time showed that only a significant difference in knowledge and perceived barriers (p < 0.05). So that Multimedia education could significantly increase knowledge and reduce the perceived barriers to mammography. 55% of women in Multimedia group performed mammography (p < 0.05). Discussion: Due to the effectiveness of media education in raising knowledge, reducing barriers and mammography performance in teachers The multimediabased health education models used to change the beliefs and behaviors of breast cancer screening.
