چکیده مقاله:

The leather industry in Bangladesh is under environmental pressure from different stakeholders due to environmental degradation by the industry. Green supply chain practices (GSCP) have been recognized as one of the initiatives that improve the environmental performance of the companies by integrating environmental concern into the supply chain. Thus, it is essential to evaluate the implementation level of GSCP within this industry to improve the environmental performance. However, there is a lack of studies regarding the assessment of GSCP in the leather industry made it difficult for the managers and practitioners to monitor and implement GSCP. Therefore, the objective of this paper isto develop a new set of measurement structure to evaluate green supply chain practices (GSCP) in the leather industry. To achieve this aim the study reviewed existing literature extensively from top ranking journals and influential authors. The literature suggests that evaluating GSCP requires multi-dimensional criteria. The paper presented thirty-fourcriteria based on literature review and practitioner input. The contribution of this paper is to offer a new set of measurement structure to evaluate GSCP comprehensively. The operations managers and policy makers will find this measurement useful to monitor and implement GSCP in the industry. The limitations and directions for future research also presented at the end of this paper
