Organizational factors affecting the mental preparation of academicians for commercialization of academic technology (Case study: Mazandaran university of Iran)

Mental preparation of academicians for commercialization of academic technology plays a key role in the development and conversion of findings and technologies generated by academic researchers to economicallysuccessful products as well as academic engagement. The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting the mental preparation of academicians for commercialization of academic technology at the University of Mazandaran byusing of PLS approach. The study population and the sample were respectively 300 and 127 faculty members and personnel of incubator and entrepreneurship center of University of Mazandaran and data were collected by usingresearcher made questionnaire validated by multi-stages investigation and evaluation of certain academics experts having skills in the context of the current subject. Findings showed that the quartet variables of organization governance(OG), technical assistances (TA), organizational form (OF) and capital resources (CR) with coefficients of 0.854, 0.928, 0.723 and 0.884 have no impact on mental preparation of academicians for commercialization of academic technology at the University of Mazandaran. Finally, it was suggested to managers and policy makers to take some measures to strengthen the mental preparation for commercialization of academic technology based on their degree of importance
