چکیده مقاله:

This quasi-experimental study aimed at probing reflective reading as a means of increasing motivation among EFL learners. At the outset of the study 94 participants homogenizedthrough PET were divided into two experimental and control groups. Motivation rates of the study groups were measured before the treatment and the groups’ means and possibledifferences in variance were compared. The treatment of the study included 02 sessions ofreading comprehension classes each lasting about 02 minutes. After the treatment period, the groups’ motivation rates were measured once more. An independent sample t-test was run to compare these rates the result of which reflected outperformance of the experimental group.It was concluded that reflective reading proved to be a possible means of increasing motivation among EFL learners. Accordingly language course developers, teachers and learners can use reflective reading to increase language learning motivation in educationalsystems
