The relation between Climate, Nature and Identity in Traditional Iranian ArchitectureHot and dry climate in central Iran

Over the years, traditional architecture has evolved with respect to the natural phenomena. In the past, buildings were frequently bulit in a way they highly benefit from the natural forces. However, this rarely occurs, nowadays. The igonrance of the natural enviroment of the contexts and buildings and the lack of coordination of the new developments with the traditional context cause the gradual ignorance of the Iranian identity.Since the experince is the teacher of all things, and the proper use of the new techniques and methods is dependet on the areas in which they are enviromentally applied, the recogniztion of the climatic potentials of the traditional architecture and its interaction with nature facilitate using the new climatic methods based on the traditional architecture and authentication of the modern architecture. This study aims to recognize the interaction of the climatic factors and nature and their relationship with the authentication components in the traditional architecture to be used in modern architecture. This is a library research-based study that uses the data analysis. The research questions are as follow: How climatic design affects the architecture with respect to the natural phenomena? What are the roles of the climatic factors and nature in authentication of the traditional architecture?The results show that climatic design and environmantal compatability as the authentication factors are manifested in the traditional architecture and cuase the authentication of the traditional architecture.
