چکیده مقاله:
Anise and its essential oil are popularly used for their antimicrobial andantioxidant properties. In the present research, anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) was subjected todifferent nutritional treatments and substantial effects on its growth as well as essential oilcontent were assessed. The notable effect of chemical fertilizers and animal manure onmedicinal plants was reported by Omidbeigi (2009). The experiment was conducted in theagricultural field experiments of the Alborz Research Station, Research Institute of Forestsand Rangelands, Karaj, Iran in 2012. The experiment was a factorial experiment based on arandomized complete block design with five treatments and four replications. Treatmentsincluded decayed animal manure (30 t/ha), biofertilizer (Nitroxin), chemical fertilizer(N220P220 kg/ha), manure + chemical fertilizer (50:50 ratio), and biofertilizer + chemicalfertilizer (50:50 ratio). The comparison of means was carried out using Duncan MultipleRange test (P<0.05). The analysis of variance indicated that the treatment had a significanteffect on plant’s height, shoot yield, but there was an insignificant effect on leaf yield. Thecomparison of means showed that the highest plant height was achieved in the chemicaltreatment (63.5 cm) followed by manure + chemical treatment (61.75 cm). Leaf yield was thelowest in the control (316.11 kg/ha) and highest in manure + chemical (519.11 kg/ha).Moreover, it had no significant differences with other treatments. The comparison of meansrevealed highest shoot yield in manure + chemical treatment (1149.7 kg/ha) and the lowest inthe control (679.8 kg/ha). The optimal shoot yield in some treatments relates to the yieldcomponents such as leaf, stem and seed yields.
