Interaction between structural characteristics of the 2D frames with various configurations

Number of inspections was conducted on the results of the behavior of several 2D frames with different lateral load resisting systems with different heights in which each one demonstrates specific responses to earthquake loads in categories like response modification factor, period, target displacement and yield displacement. In order to come up with an overall point of view about interaction between aforementioned categories, the results were compared and studied deeply extensively. Results were clearly illustrating the complexity and uncertainties on the performance of the structure however in the cases which have been inspected during this research, characteristics of the frame do not follow a noticeable pattern and relationship. Results were extensively informative that encompass diverse fields of future studies.
