THE ROLE URBANISIM IN REDUCING EARTHQUAKE'S DAMAGES

Among many other well_ know sciences and know ledges toward reduction of earthquake's damages, urbanism in of those efficient sciences which covers a broader society.location of different regions of Iran on earthquake band ,higher vulnerability of constructions ,and deficiency of necessary infrastructures of make operational the correct managements of the cries,resulted in overestimation of susceptibility in urban and rural regions .what makes the earthquake adisaster ,is the lack of preparation to encounter with it .and to prevent the disastrous consequences it causes . Reduction of earthquake's damages mainly is based on construction approaches to increasethe strength of building in earthquakes, but to tolerate and encounter with earthquake is beyondsimple following of technical principles toward strengthening the constructions. And infect .we should plan and deign the whole city with airy of reducing vulnerability. Now the question is what kind of role, the urbanism .can play in reducing earthquake's damages inthe city? The aim of this article is to analyses desirable from of a stable city (safe city),and factors and components of this city ,such as from, structure, concentration , control and location of city....And theresult of this study will be the requirements and schemes of urbanism toward reduction of damages in the case of natural events, such as earthquake.
