Beyond Time: A Philosophical Perspective on the End

Religion and its purpose have always been a major concern. This topic deals with the definition of religion, its role in human life, and its role in shaping human life. Islam introduces religion as a comprehensive system that encompasses both faith and socio-political order. This study, with the aim of explaining Islamic philosophers’ purposes of religion and presenting new perspectives on understanding religion, addresses the main question of what is the purpose of religion from the perspective of Islamic philosophy and how can it serve as a model for understanding the concepts of religion? This study was conducted using documentary and data analysis methods. Research shows that Islamic philosophers have a longitudinal hierarchy of value perspectives (preliminary, middle, and final). The ultimate goal of creation is for man to reach perfection and the position of Caliph of God. In terms of the ultimate goal, it is individualistic, but in terms of theory and tools, it is comprehensive and includes individual and social guidelines. The results of this research, to examine one of the purposes of religion as essential methods in understanding religion, can show how this method can help to better understand the nature and function of religion in society.
