In this paper, we propose a two-patch HIV/AIDS epidemic model with fractional order derivatives, in which susceptible individuals from both patches and asymptomatic infectives from patch ۲ travel freely, while infectives from patch ۱ are restrained from traveling to patch ۲. We investigate the stability of equilibria and bifurcation analysis of the model. The results show that backward bifurcation does not occur in the model, and when the infection persists in patch ۲ and dies out in patch ۱, the travel of asymptomatic infectives from patch ۲ to patch ۱ causes the infection to be persist or die out in both patches.
