AI and Language Teaching Ethical Challenges

With the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in education generally, particularly in English language teaching (ELT) in Iran, policymakers, educators, and learners have expressed growing interest in incorporating AI into educational practices. The increasing use of AI in ELT is evident across various dimensions of pedagogy, including assignment completion, assessment, classroom instruction, and materials development. However, this growing trend has inevitably generated ethical challenges, which were examined thematically and presented in this paper.
